PayOnce Repair FAQs

Got questions about PayOnce Repair?

Our FAQ section provides concise and easily understandable responses to the most popular inquiries pertaining to PayOnce Repair.

What is PayOnce Repair Coverage?

PayOnce is a fully automated, DMS-integrated program that adds a limited parts warranty to eligible customer-pay repairs. If the same part fails again, the customer pays nothing, and the dealership earns additional revenue without changing their process.

How does the dealership make money with PayOnce?

For every eligible repair, a 13% fee is added to the parts or labor line, which includes up to a $10 profit for the dealership and contributes to a reinsurance or retro position. With enough volume, dealers can generate over $230,000 in reserve annually.

Is PayOnce hard to implement in our service drive?

Not at all. Setup requires basic DMS integration, a list of customer-pay op codes, and a program term selection (5-year, 7-year, or Lifetime). Once set, the program runs automatically in the background — no selling required.

Are there limits on what repairs qualify for coverage?

Dealers can define which repair op codes are included. The only requirement is that the parts + labor total at least $200 per line. Brake jobs and batteries can be included after an initial customer-pay repair.

Do customers need to return to our dealership for future repairs?

No. PayOnce coverage follows the customer to any licensed repair facility, which adds even more trust and value to your offering.

Does this program work with fleet or older vehicles?

Yes! There are no mileage or age restrictions, and PayOnce even supports fleet and commercial vehicles, making it a perfect fit for a wide range of service customers.
